The Chalet is new wine for us, and it’s quickly become one of our more exciting new cuvées for the Fall season. This is the first time we've gotten to work with McFadden Vineyard Pinot Gris and we are quite thrilled!

A fancy white, California wine. It’s big bodied, but not buttery or overpowering, Slightly creamy & tasting of juicy bosc pear with notes of fresh cantaloupe on the nose, and crisp green grapes. 

Historically we've always macerated Pinot Gris which gives us  the acidic crunch we crave, but we lose some of the complex, nuanced floral qualities that the fruit is known for. So, we tried doing some direct-pressing, and found that the result was a wildly pretty, slightly boozy, big white wine. It’s bright on the palate, a little weighted, and tastes pretty elegant –if we do say so ourselves.
